LIMINOID er et samarbeidsprosjekt mellom Thale Fastvold og Tanja Thorjussen /LOCUS. Gjennom polaroidfoto og tegning utforskes temaet liminalitet. Liminale steder og vesener manifisteres som liminoider, fanget og presentert som par.

Definition of Liminal(ity):

Liminoid: liminal(ity) creature, place or time (here; captured/frozen)

Liminality: (from the Latin word līmen, meaning 'a threshold').
A space in-between worlds, places or time.
In rituals the participants often find themselves in a liminal space.
Inmyth and folklore a liminal space is a transitional space between twoworlds. Ghosts are liminal because they cannot go from one definedspace to the next.
Airports,chain stores, cemeteries, ferryports etc. can be liminal because theydo not have a distinguished identity. Liminal time can be dusk/dawn,equinox or solstices, which is also when liminal beings are most likelyto appear.
Those who remain, are captured/frozen, in a state between two other states may become permanently liminal.
